A couple of examples follow;

Have you ever wanted to determine who owns a certain piece of property... how many acres are in the tract... how much public road frontage there is... how long a person has owned the land, etc.?

This is simple to determine, just go to the county Tax Assessor's office and look at the tax maps. You can determine how many acres there are, how it is shaped, and how much road frontage there is. And when you locate a parcel of land that you like... how do you start your investigation to determine if it has any problems?

That's easy also, just go to the county offices and apply for a building permit on the parcel. They will tell you right off if there are problems such a flood plain, wrong zoning, etc.
