PRACTICAL ASSISTANCE
I'm sure you are looking for information
that can assist you in the field and not just general real estate
information.
Well, I have included both... very unique information for
acquiring land... and practical information that is useful in the field.
A couple of examples follow;
Have you ever wanted to determine who
owns a certain piece of property... how many acres are in the tract... how
much public road frontage there is... how long a person has owned the land,
etc.?
This is simple to determine, just go to
the county Tax Assessor's office and look at the tax maps. You can determine
how many acres there are, how it is shaped, and how much road frontage there
is. The personnel will help you locate the property on the map and will give
you the owner's contact information.
And when you locate a parcel of land that
you like... how do you start your investigation to determine if it has any
problems?
That's easy also, just go to the county
offices and apply for a building permit on the parcel. They will tell you
right off if there are problems such a flood plain, wrong zoning, etc.
You will find that my manual contains useful information
and not just general real estate terms... stuff that was learned in the
field.

When I first started working with land, I
had limited funds for down payments and monthly payments... and no one to
help me. I knew I had a lot to overcome.
